Hospice Wanganui relies upon the support of the community to make up the short-fall not provided for by MOH funding and to ensure our care remains free-of-charge for our families...

Hospice Wanganui relies on the generous support of our community.

This year nursing and medical staff at Hospice expect to care for around 350 patients and provide support for families/whanau. The variety of support services Hospice offers are delivered not only by our clinical staff, but also but our enthusiastic, skilled volunteers, who number around 220.  As a charitable trust, Hospice Wanganui relies upon the support of the community to make up the short-fall not provided for by MOH funding and to ensure our care remains free-of-charge for our families, we need to find more than $1million fundraising income each year.

We’re lucky to have the generous support of people in Wanganui who in their own diverse and interesting ways, have been creative about fundraising for Hospice’s benefit.  We also acknowledge our donors, and those who donate to or buy from the Hospice shops.  Our search for support is a daily task, but without doubt, is made a little less daunting by our supporters.
